God wants us to succeed in all areas of life; this is supported by 3 John 1:2, which says, “Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. The command to be fruitful started in Genesis 1:27-28– have given us dominion, be fruitful, and multiply. So, fruitfulness is a requirement of each believer. Also, however, in all we do, we need to include God for the success of those plans. I trust you have already identified your goals for this year; if not, work on them.
Activation Exercise
Our goals should align with God’s plan for us, according to Jeremiah 29:11 and Psalm 139:16, which say all the days ordained were written in your book before one of them came to be. We should have individual visions and goals for our lives and invite the Holy Spirit to help us prioritize those goals and accomplish them. Prioritization is important because it allows us only to do what God wants to be accomplished in each season.
The way to engage the Holy Spirit in your goals or ideas is to invite Him and to partner with Him at every juncture until the objectives of the goals are met. First, ask the Holy Spirit what God wants you to prioritize this year. Ask the Holy Spirit the order of what he wants to work with you on first and how to accomplish each goal! The Holy Spirit may give you new goals, or may he bring up ideas that he gave you in the past that are due this season. Second, write them with possible timelines that you would like them accomplished. Third, identify a Bible verse or verses that align with that Scripture. Fourth, use that verse for praying for your goals and also as a Scripture for declaration over your goals. Fifth, seek the Holy Spirit for blueprints or strategies for executing your goals. Sixth, in prayer, ask for resources and connections to accomplish that goal; also, ask for angelic support to accomplish your goals. Seventh, for every opportunity God blesses you, for every juncture you accomplish, thank God and the Holy Spirit for his help. Eighth, continue to seek the Holy Spirit for the next steps- in all your goals, think long-term for your children and future generations. Ninth, stay flexible and teachable, as God may rearrange some things while working on your goals. Tenth, stay consistent, and determination will be key to achieving all goals- Have faith in God and trust him to see you through to the end. Lastly, remember that He who has started a good thing in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). So, fix your eyes on the Initiator, God, who birthed those ideas in you.
Other Scriptures that can be applied are Psalm 37:5-6-Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will do this will make your righteous reward shine like dawn and vindication like the noonday sun. Isaiah 48:17 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit and leads you by how you should go. Psalm 32:8-9 I (God)will instruct you and teach you how to go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding. But must be controlled by bit and bridle, or they will not come to you. This is a good verse to apply to teachability and flexibility with the Holy Spirit as he assists you in stewarding your goals. Ecclesiastes 3:1-For everything, there is a season and a time for every purpose under the heaven.
