I have read countless testimonies of parents who prayed and made declarations about their unborn children while still in their mothers’ wombs. Some sang songs; the outcome was that the child grew to become what the parents prayed and declared.
It is not too late to start if you did not do that. We can prophesy into the lives of our adult children even now. Speak into their present, prophesy into their past. You can even speak to future generations. Your children’s children and great-grandchildren can be recipients of your blessings today. Genesis 49 is Jacob’s example that we can mirror.
Prophecy edifies, encourages, and comforts. Secondly, words create. Use Scriptures to speak into the future of your adult children in all areas, including education, profession, spiritual lives, friendships, connections, investments, business, life, health, mind, emotions, gifts and callings, talents, and skills, and relationships. If an adult child is currently involved in something negative, prophesy the opposite; find Scripture that contains a blessing related to that area and declare it over the child.
