UNSTUCK YOURSELF

As I pulled into the Walmart parking lot, I noticed an elderly woman struggling to open her car’s trunk. A young man stopped to help, but despite his efforts, the trunk still wouldn’t budge. As I watched, I heard in my spirit, “This is when we use commands.” I quietly prayed, “I command that trunk to open in Jesus’ name.” I then reached for my keys to get out of my car. When I looked back just moments later, the trunk was open, and the elderly woman was happily loading her groceries inside. Prayer answered—just a few feet away!

This experience was especially significant because I had been reflecting on our identity in Christ and the fullness of what that identity means. One thing became increasingly clear: the enemy works hard to keep believers from understanding what we truly carry.

This is why the Apostle Paul prayed that believers would know “the riches of His glorious inheritance” and “His incomparably great power for us who believe” (Ephesians 1:18-20). When we understand that Christ lives in us, we begin to recognize that we are called to walk in His nature, His authority, and His power.

We often reserve faith for what seems “big,” yet God is interested in every aspect of life—even a stubborn car trunk in a Walmart parking lot. Sometimes these seemingly small moments become reminders of greater spiritual truths.

So, while this testimony involves a trunk that wouldn’t open, it also speaks to areas of life where you feel stuck. If there is a situation that has refused to move, a door that seems shut, or a season where progress has stalled, I pray this over you today:

In the name of Jesus, I declare breakthrough. I command release where there has been restriction, opening where there has been resistance, direction where there has been confusion, and momentum where there has been stagnation.
