One thing I have come to discover about God is that there are no formulas with Him. God is absolutely right when He says that His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts our thoughts. While I knew about peace, I did not fully recognize how critical it is as a tool for success in life and as a weapon in spiritual warfare.
Peace as a tool for success in every aspect of life—who would have thought? I share this from personal experience. During seasons when attacks seemed to come from every direction, it was God’s peace that sustained me. In that peace, I was not shaken by what was happening in my immediate environment. The battles were so intense that there were days when I felt compelled to seek alternative solutions. Yet whenever I pursued them, God closed those doors and continued to sustain me through His peace.
God’s peace protects us from anxiety, fear, premature decisions, and unnecessary risks. It keeps us grounded amid turmoil and storms. It enables us to remain calm and composed amid drama and chaos. Peace prevents us from abandoning our God-given assignments too soon.
Through these experiences, I came to understand why God often sustained nations by giving them peace. Throughout the Old Testament, we repeatedly encounter phrases such as “the land had peace” or “God gave them peace.” Peace was not merely the absence of conflict; it was a divine gift that enabled people to flourish, build, grow, and fulfill God’s purposes.
