REPAIR AND RESTORATION: WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Word of Encouragement: With the New, formerly devastated areas will be Repaired and Restored. (co-authored with Israel Mena @ Propheteia )

Scriptures: Isaiah 43:18-19 Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness. Isaiah 61:4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.

This blog is a follow-up to last week’s Word of Encouragement. One of the themes for August is that the season will bring new strength, boldness, and determination to tear down ancient walls that have impeded progress. The foundation Scripture for this theme is Psalm 18, Isaiah 43:18-19, and Isaiah 61:4. As previously mentioned, the strength and grace that God will provide during this season will empower His children to confront and demolish issues that have been passed down for generations, freeing current and future generations to fulfill their God-given destinies. In conjunction with the release of this word, Israel Mena of Propheteia Ministries added that restoring generational patterns would allow believers to repair and restore areas of their lives that were previously devasted.

The concept of repair and restoration is emphasized throughout the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, where God restores humanity and creation.  We see the chaos in Genesis restored through creation. Although the earth was destroyed again in the time of Noah, God repopulated it. As we progress, we see the theme of destruction and restoration (Isaiah 58:12, Ezekiel 36:33-36, and Amos 9:14-15). Humanity’s fellowship with God is restored through Christ’s redemptive death and resurrection. Similarly, through the Holy Spirit, God will enable us to rebuild areas of our lives that have been devastated. Therefore, reflect on the areas of your life that have experienced loss, stagnation, and minimal productivity, and expect new strategies and ideas to help them thrive again. The new grace that we have this month is full of life and power. We are moving beyond survival mode to viability, thriving, and success. Expect a thousand-fold restoration of what was stolen (Proverbs 6:31). Expect to regain generational blessings. Expect perpetual success henceforth.

Be encouraged.
