Therefore let us get past the elementary stage in the teachings about the Christ, advancing on to maturity and perfection and spiritual completeness, [doing this] without laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of teaching about washings (ritual purifications), the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. These are all important matters in which you should have been proficient long ago. And we will do this [that is, proceed to maturity] if God permits Hebrews 6:1-3
It is God’s will for every believer to mature past the foundational teachings of salvation, judgment, or sin. It is God’s ultimate goal that each believer is to be conformed to the image of Christ. It is through this development process that we are transformed from glory to glory.
Each believer in partnership with the Holy Spirit is responsible for this development and maturity process. Ask the Holy Spirit the areas He wants to develop in your spiritual life, family, marriage, finances, business, education, physical or emotional growth, ministry, or calling?
Use the areas the Holy Spirit shows you as the “strategic plan” for your life in this season. What the Holy Spirit shows you will be the will of God for your life at that moment. Then rely on Holy Spirit as your teacher, mentor, counselor, and guide through every action point or intervention He instructs. Endure and be patient with the Holy Spirit at every stage of each development process-follow His pace. Slow down or speed up when He tells you; do not be sluggish. Watch yourself grow spiritually from glory to glory continually rely on the Holy Spirit to obey!
