Well done, good and faithful servant

Faithfulness and perseverance are among the essential qualities that Jesus encourages believers to have. The letters to the churches in Revelation are evidence of this (Revelation chapter 2 and Chapter 3) Performance is measured along the way, not at the end. For instance, in the workforce, performance evaluations start at the job interview, followed by periodic evaluations that eventually lead to the annual performance evaluation.

As believers, we should not wait for the final evaluation when we get to heaven. Instead, God should find us faithful in what He has assigned us to do each season. The question is, “are you faithful in what God has assigned you to do right now?” If God checks, can He say well done, good and faithful servant?

Be faithful now, be faithful to the end; God has empowered you and given you the grace to be faithful. He will also watch over and guide you to see that you complete what He wants to be done through you. Be faithful in the little and in all He has given you. Remember, there is a greater reward at the end of your season. The rewards are often greater than the assignments. May this season and subsequent seasons be filled with many “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
