–Some of you may have realized that 2019 came with a few challenges. In fact, some of you may attest to being in a dry season or desert season where you can ‘feel” God. Prayer and devotion may have been a challenge in this season too coupled with unexpected events and loses that left you wondering where God is? Some may have even gone through major spiritual warfare, wining one battle just to face the next.
It felt like the devil was relentless, but you stayed fierce and relentless also. Some of you feel like you lost all your friends this season, no one calls to check on you, those you trusted disappointed you and God is nowhere to be seen. Your spiritual gifts don’t flow easy as before. if you are a seer, you can’t recall the last time you had a dream or vision or dream. You feel dry………………………… IT’S BEEN A SEASON OF DEEPER PURGING!
Through all these, God has not been absent, He has stayed as close as possible, ensuring that you were not knocked off to the floor 1Cor10:13. I believe God has allowed these to help us dig deeper. Crisis, adversities and challenges expose our true character. True sons and daughters of God are shaped by the adversities we overcome. This has been a season of DEEP PURGING AND PRUNING. Our reactions or inaction to the challenges we have faced have forced us to look deep inside. To some, it has been a season of REPENTANCE AND SURRENDER, to others a season of DELIVERANCE OF STUFF YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD OVERCOME. It feels as though God wants us to deal with the UNFINISHED BUSINESS(s) in our lives.
2 Timothy 2: 20-21-Whatever we have gone through so far is preparation for what is about to come. I believe we are about to experience MONUMENTAL breakthroughs in God. He just wants us to deal with the unfinished business. This week ask the Holy Spirit to show you the unfinished business that needs your attention. Be ready though, it may come as an inner healing, repentance, deliverance, letting go some things, tightening your prayer life, going deeper in your devotion. Just surrender to what God wants you to do. Fighting the process will prolong it. Embrace this purging, a promotion is coming.
