Have you ever been involved in a discussion or conflict and the midst of it ask; how in the world did I ever get here; where did this come from? The answer to these questions is distractions! They come in various forms and ways, but it’s imperative that we stay strategically focused to our visions and goals. So, in 2017, only fight the good fight!

The Apostle Paul in his final instructions to Timothy, a young Pastor encourages him to Fight the Good fight of Faith-1 Timothy 6:12- Fight the good fight o the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses.

I encourage you this week and in 2017 to only focus on what advances the Kingdom of God in you and the purposes of God in your life. Fight Kingdom style:
•Fight with the weapons of righteousness on both hands -2Corinthians 6:7
•Fight with your mind set on things that are above not below. Colossians 3:2
•Fight by bringing your mind to subject to God and every contract thought to submit to God’s authority-2 Corinthians 10:5
•Fight my guarding your heart-Proverbs 4:23
•Fight by studying the Word of God-2Timothy 2:15
•Fight with the weapons of warfare which are we know are mighty to bring down stronghold. The weapons are, salvation, righteous, faith, truth, peace, the Word of God, prayer. 2Corinthians 10:4
•Fight by not getting into unnecessary arguments-1Timothy 2:23
•Fight by not being unequally yoked-2 Corinthians 6:14
•Fight by bearing the fruits of the Spirit-Galatians 5:22-23
•Fight through worship, prayer, thanksgiving, by the blood of the Lamb and in the Name of Jesus-Revelation 12:11
•Fight by staying alert and vigilant-1 Peter 5:8
•Fight by staying bold and Courageous Joshua 1:9
•Fight by submitting to the Holy Spirit -Galatians 5:16, James 4:7-10

Fight by relinquishing the fight to the Holy Spirit knowing that it not by our strength, gifts or skills, but by the Holy Spirit. Fight knowing Greater is He that is you and he that is in the world.

Let us Enact and Activate the Kingdom of God in our lives, for our marriages, for our children, for our families for our jobs and businesses. This week only purpose to engage in what advances God’s Kingdom in your live and in the lives others. Only fight the good fight.

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). Right now, it is easy to maintain goals and resolutions because it’s still early in the year, but as we venture deeper into the year, a time will come that we must stay focused, committed and on the course. no matter what comes your way this year STAY IN THE ZONE. Your Zone is God’s heaven. Seeing and reacting to everything according what heaven says about it! Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. HEAVEN IS OUR ZONE!

Purpose to set your mind on God’s promises concerning the situation because that is where we belong; we are co-heirs with Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father (Romans 8:17, Galatians 3:29). Whenever a contrary issue comes up, ask yourself, what does God say about this situation? What does Jesus teach about this situation? What are(is) the promise of God about this situation? What is the Holy Spirit instructing about this situation? What song or Psalm can I sing about this situation?

Keep your mind in the heavenly zone because it is in the mind that is the battlefield of war and where victory first starts (1Corinthians 15:57)

Stay in the heavenly zone because the heavenly zone is ETERNAL AND IMPERISHABLE, while the earthly zone is temporary and perishable
( 1Peter 1:23)

Stay in the heavenly zone because what is of the earth will be left behind and we cannot take it to heaven (I Peter 1:24, Matthew 6:19-21)

Stay in the heavenly zone because God rewards those who are faithful to Him (1 Samuel 26:23 (a), Lamentations 3:25, Psalm 18:25)

ZONE OUT IN HEAVEN this week. Stay in the zone with the Word of God, the promises of God, the Spirit of God. Let God’s heaven dictate your life on earth! Your will be done on earth as it is heaven.

If you have ever taken pottery classes, watched pottery or even played with clay, you will notice a common trend. Water has to be constantly added to the clay first to attain the right consistency to mold and shape the vessel and second water is constantly sprinkled as part of the process of shaping the clay into shape.

The Word of God is the water that shapes us into form. Purpose to read the Bible. Meditate and memorize the Word of God. Let the Word of God be engrained in your mind and heart. This is what the Lord instructs us in Joshua 1: 8 which says This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. These are also repeated in Deuteronomy 17:19, Deuteronomy 29:9, Deuteronomy 11:8. The Word of God is one of the crucial ways God uses. We are all being made and shaped by our Potter; God. This is how we are being transformed from glory to glory, to be vessels of good use in 2017.

As you water yourself with the Word, you will also receive the Words to speak into the year for each situation. This week, stay watered in the Word. Read the Bible more. Meditate and memorize the scripture. Ask the Holy Spirit to explain what you are reading. Write down what you learn from the reading. Do what you read. You are being shaped by the Potter. Enjoy the process. Share what God directs you to share from reading the Bible. Keep what God tells you to keep. From experience, God always reveals and speaks to us individually first. That means most of the revelations are meant for ourselves, for our shaping, for our watering before we water/minister to others.

A few days ago, my sister encouraged me with the following. She said, “Our part is to continue feeding on the Word (water). As the water goes in, we are emptied out of everything else BUT WE DO NOT KNOW WHEN THE WATER WILL TURN INTO WINE, that’s the Holy Spirit’s part”.

As the water is being drawn out, we will find that the Holy Spirit has turned the water into wine for others”. As the Holy Spirit turns the water (Word) into wine, we are being turned into vessels of good use for the Master. Stay soaked and glued in the Word. Stay in the Water this year.

Commit your ways to the Lord and He shall establish them. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and everything shall be added unto you. Whenever we have plans, missions, goals or objectives, God is very good at guiding us to correct, feasible and attainable goals.

The “committing and seeking” starts at the planning stage not after the goals have been set and ready to go. Right when your mind says “I need to write down my goals or resolutions”, that’s the perfect time to invite the Holy Spirit and ask Him to show you what you need to focus on. In fact, if you are in constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He will give you the goals way ahead of time.

The Holy Spirit is very practical and strategic as well. He will not only help you with the goals but also show you how to go about attaining them and lead you to the correct alliances to support your goals and plans. The key is to stay intimate with the Holy Spirit in prayer and obedience to His instructions. The other important thing you should do is to stay open to whatever means God may use to meet your goals. You may think the resolution will come through route A yet God responds through route W.

When we commit your ways to the Lord in the “thought or planning stage, it also curbs recidivisms of starting and not finishing and restarting and not finishing. God’s plans are sure and It is God who also brings them to a complete end. Philippians 1:6.
This week in prayer ask the Holy Spirit to help you set your goals. Then ask Him how to go about meeting the goals. Do not stop there, ask God for the resources needed including the alliances necessary to accomplish the goals. Always ask God for more. This is why; God is able to make all grace abound toward you, always having sufficiency in all things and that you may have abundance for every good work, 2Corinthians 9:8

Write and DO what the Holy Spirit tells you. Psalm: 32:8-9 (please read these scriptures). God can help with your goals this year, only commit your ways to Him.

More and more I am beginning to understand the fullness of the power we have as believers of Christ. God has already established what He wants for us. 99% has already been done by God, He now only requires 1% from us and that is to speak our destiny into action!

Romans 10:10 is a practical example of our role in the 1%- For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Emphasis being in our mouths confessing. This salvation is not limited to the salvation of the soul from sin, but rather it also means the expected outcome of what you would like God to do. Better yet the answer or outcome, blessing or breakthrough you want in 2017.

Most of us have resolutions or goals for the year. Most have already received their “Word (s) of the year. Now the journey to the answers starts; speaking the promises of God regarding what you want until they manifest. 2017 will require walking in faith and putting that faith in action. That is what Hebrews 11 is all about, Faith. Remember Faith is what pleases God. Each person mentioned in Hebrews 11 ACTED on the promise. Abraham did, Sarah did, Noah did, Isaac did and YOU CAN DO!

God will not do the speaking for us. He has already spoken and forever His Word is established and It will not change! Like Moses, the Rod is in your hands this time is your mouth. Speak into the year concerning your spiritual, physical, emotional and financial life. Speak into the year concerning your semester, your professors, your job, your boss, businesses and investments. Speak into the year concerning your health, your children, your marriage and extended family. Speak into the year concerning your ministry. Speak into the year concerning your new home or vehicle. The power is in you and in your mouth. Speak in faith believing (heart) and your mouth CONTINUING to confess daily until you see the answer (salvation). SPEAK INTO 2017
