Collectively as we reflect on various areas in our lives from the beginning of the year to date, we can all attest to seeing God’s Hand in those areas anyhow. Although while they happened, we could not see any goodness in them , but now we can look back and say ‘that was God”. As you reflect and as you gather with family and friends this week, approach God with thanksgiving, for surely, we have seen the Valiant Hand of the Lord. Yes, thank God for the following:

HIS RELENTLESS PROTECTION-Speaking for myself, this year God scooped me out of some dangerous situations even when I fought to stay in those situations. God actually pulled me out of stuff and shut the doors; ensuring there was no way to return. In His protection, He repeatedly exposed the plans of the enemy in advance and provided a way of escape. He did this my best interest, knowing He had better alignments and better connections ahead. Can you testify of God’s protection?

HEALING & DELIVERANCE-While God shut old doors He simultaneously opened new and safe doors. Through these doors I learned what “inner healing” was and that deliverance involves the deliverance from false beliefs. He continues to deliver me from religious spirits. With this came liberation and freedom to serve and worship Him utterly free. Did deliverance and Healing show up at your door? If so, then testify

IDENTITY-God showed me my identity. In the original identity that He had for me, I discovered that I am unique. How He identifies me is what makes me complete. That Christ as made us Complete in Him, lacking no good thing. That my identity and security are not in my talents, skills, education, intellect, spiritual gifts or ministry; but rather that my identity is in Him. In Him we live and move and have our beings.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD- Then He showed me that since my Identity is in Him, then I am a Kingdom being. I am seated with Christ as co-heir, I can decree His Kingdom and the statutes of His Kingdom to operate in every situation in my life. He also shared that this Kingdom is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. This is the assurance we have in Him, that whatever we ask in His Name, believing, we receive. Thank God for the Kingdom of God is now among us!

JOY and REST- He brought us to a place of utter rest, joy and peace. Assuring us to stand by faith, to stand on His promises. Peace and Joy became unspeakable. We pushed through to worship, dance, pray and serve Him, even when we did not understand. BUT, when God showed up, He did with newer and better things, unexpected timings, we saw breakthroughs and favors. Love and grace showed up! Surely we have a good, good Father.

Reflect on What God has done for you this year. It is highly likely that YOU HAVE SEEN GOD TOO! I don’t know about you, but I could write a book about the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord this year. He pulled us out of the mire, He lifted us up, He dried the tears, He moved on our behalf. We saw His mightily strength when we were weak. Grace and love became real. For the mighty things God has done and continues to do for us, let’s approach Him with thanksgiving this week. Yes, “thank you Lord” should be our prayer this week!

Happy Thanksgiving

Among the recommendations in career development is to have a career plan that involves adapting, advancing or changing the career path. To some level these involve changing our strategies and attitudes. This paradigm shift also applies in our daily lives as believers. As humans, we have tendencies to focus and dwell on the negative, the pending, the lack, the absence, collectively, the absent answer or resolution. 1Corinthians 2:16 tells us that we have the mind of Christ. Though human, in Christ we have been translated to have His mind. Our thoughts and minds should mirror Jesus Christ. My encouragement to you this week is to change the occupation in your mind!

Faith is the preoccupation with the promises of God and the Word of God. Moreover, we created in the image of God. God only thinks good things about us. The plan that He has for us is good things, prosperity and hope. Believers are now daughters and sons of God. We are also friends of God, Jesus is our Brother and we are seated next to Him as co-heirs. We reign with Him, releasing God’s Kingdom on earth as Jesus intercedes for us. From this edified position
Faith refuses to see anything but what God sees and says. Focus not on what is missing, Focus not on the problems or challenges. Focus not on the sickness or lack.

Change your occupation this week, and tell your mind to:
¨Occupy your mind with God’s promises
¨Occupy your mind by getting the attention of Whom you are currently seated next to; Christ-through prayer
¨Occupy your mind by looking unto God, our provider, the Mountain where our help comes from
¨Occupy your mind by seeing the finished work of the cross. At the cross, Jesus said “it is finished!”
¨Occupy your mind with the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
¨Occupy your mind with thanksgiving, praise and worship because soon, you will say, “this too came to pass
¨Occupy your mind with the testimonies of the Lord, remember His goodness in the past , what you only know that God did it?

Change the occupation of and in your mind! Reposition yourself, tell your thoughts that you are reigning with Christ, a royal priesthood. You have the authority in Christ Jesus, God’s promises are for you. The Kingdom of God is being established on earth through your life. The blessings we take by steadfast faith in God will always materialize when our minds, eyes, hearts and confessions are set on Him.

dsc00156This is a personal testimony of God’s visitation during a time of prayer in early September 2016. I have titled this testimony “A Prayer of Thanksgiving.”

Jeremiah 31:3: “I have loved you with an everlasting love and I have drawn you with my loving kindness.” I woke for morning devotion as usual, but the moment I hit the prayer mat, I was overwhelmed by a strong presence of God’s love, God’s joy, and God’s goodness. The air or the presence was thick yet transparent. I could touch it, and I could feel it.

The moment I touched the air I heard the Lord say, “Embrace My love. Embrace My joy. Embrace My goodness. Pursue Me out of love.” By this time, I was so overwhelmed that I switched the prayer to a prayer of thanksgiving. As I meditated on these throughout the day I realized that God has already given us love, joy, goodness, favor, health, wealth, everything. All we will need to do now is embrace, accept, and walk in that which we have already been given.

So this week instead of asking God for this and that; consider switching your prayers to:
¨Lord I embrace Your joy and thank You for Your joy.
¨Lord I accept Your love and thank You for Your peace.
¨Lord I receive Your loving kindness and thank You for new mercies every day.
¨Lord I walk in Your protection and thank You for shielding me and for the angels assigned to me and my household.
¨Lord I receive Your salvation, deliverance, and healing and thank You for freedom.
¨Lord I embrace Your provision and thank You that I lack no good thing.
¨Lord I embrace Your Presence and thank You for the fullness of joy in Jesus Name.

This week, embrace God’s love, goodness, kindness, mercies and joy. Embrace, accept, and walk in them. You are in God’s presence. Amen!
