Commit your ways to the Lord and He shall establish them. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and everything shall be added unto you. Whenever we have plans, missions, goals or objectives, God is very good at guiding us to correct, feasible and attainable goals.
The “committing and seeking” starts at the planning stage not after the goals have been set and ready to go. Right when your mind says “I need to write down my goals or resolutions”, that’s the perfect time to invite the Holy Spirit and ask Him to show you what you need to focus on. In fact, if you are in constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He will give you the goals way ahead of time.
The Holy Spirit is very practical and strategic as well. He will not only help you with the goals but also show you how to go about attaining them and lead you to the correct alliances to support your goals and plans. The key is to stay intimate with the Holy Spirit in prayer and obedience to His instructions. The other important thing you should do is to stay open to whatever means God may use to meet your goals. You may think the resolution will come through route A yet God responds through route W.
When we commit your ways to the Lord in the “thought or planning stage, it also curbs recidivisms of starting and not finishing and restarting and not finishing. God’s plans are sure and It is God who also brings them to a complete end. Philippians 1:6.
This week in prayer ask the Holy Spirit to help you set your goals. Then ask Him how to go about meeting the goals. Do not stop there, ask God for the resources needed including the alliances necessary to accomplish the goals. Always ask God for more. This is why; God is able to make all grace abound toward you, always having sufficiency in all things and that you may have abundance for every good work, 2Corinthians 9:8
Write and DO what the Holy Spirit tells you. Psalm: 32:8-9 (please read these scriptures). God can help with your goals this year, only commit your ways to Him.
