Last Thursday I woke up in a funk, whining about everything possible, I mean just going on and on and on. Then I realized something; that the more I whined and complained the more my body and emotions begun to conform to what I was saying. I mean I could sense what my bad attitude was doing to body.

The suddenly I remembered that I am setting the tone for this entire day. Then I recalled a teaching I had just heard from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome; that “you are responsible for where you are”. Disclaimer: – I am quoting Ps Chris in the context of this blog only. So anyways, right away, I switched to a prayer of thanksgiving. I started thanking the Lord for everything. Then I reflected on Ps Chris’s message again and turned the prayer to commanding my spirit to align with the Word of God. I told my body straighten up, I told my mind strengthen yourself, I spoke to my mind and body and said receive strength, received power. I told my emotions lighten up. Then I heard the Holy Spirit say “rejoice in the Lord always”. OOH, then I proceeded to tell my body, mind and heart to rejoice in the Lord. As I prayed by body, emotions started to get lively, my attitude changed; a metamorphosis was taking place. It’s like a switch went off, turned 180 degrees. Then I sighed, you mean this was all a matter of my mind?

As I ended the prayer I heard the Holy Spirit singing in me, “Bless the Lord, Oh my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name”. So I joined the Holy Spirit and we sang this line together over and over all day into Friday. As I got to work, I noticed my to-do list had major items that needed to be addressed. My mind stayed alert and sharp in meetings and in systems and processes I needed to develop. At the end of the work day on Friday evening; I testified, that “it had been a good day, God is good”

James 3: 1-6 THE POWER OF THE TONGUE-this week if your thoughts say anything contrary to what God says about you. Stop right there, speak to your thoughts, speak to your emotions. Engage the Holy Spirit, speak in tongues, experience the 180 degree turn around; in the Name of Jesus! All things are possible to them who BELIEVE! Mark 9:23

The Biggest Loser remains my favorite TV show mostly because of the thrill of the transformation the contestants made. The show motivated me in fitness and I also learned some tips that I incorporated into my life. The biggest thrill was the “last chance workout”, it was the last exercise routine before the weigh in. Contestants, though exhausted, pushed themselves to optimize the needed weight loss to win the price.

As you work towards your goals or vision, it could be that by now, you have exhausted all you’ve got. There is a rush that comes with wanting to meet your goal. This exhaustion may come when you are close to the finish line; the final lap. It may require travailing, pushing through while you can’t just wait it get done; “oh if I could only wrap this up” you say.

My encouragement to you this week is to consider the prize that it ahead. Consider the payoff. The outcome is normally worth it. So, push through your studies, push through the homework, push through the business plan, push through the research paper or dissertation; push through the project deadline. If a challenge or obstacle comes while pushing, invite your Advocate and Helper the Holy Spirit to strengthen and guide you. Disperse the angels God has assigned you to assist also. Considerate as your last chance work out; the great price is right in front of you. Consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

Often people will question what they should in the period between the initial prayer and answer. Frankly this most challenging position and the most frustrating and dry period; especially if you have waited for so long. My encouragement to you this week is to stay consistent over this period.

100% of these blogs are from personal experience of what God is teaching and sharing with me. Most of these lessons take place when I am just up and about doing errands or while reflecting. This lesson was one of them, I was walking from one room to the next while I received this. That the best thing to do while waiting for the breakthrough, answer of promise is to stay consistent in faith;

Stay consistent in your daily devotion in reading the Bible and prayer-A perfect example were Zachariah and Elizabeth despite not having children, they stayed consistent serving the Lord “were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.” (Luke 1:6)

Stay consistent in the assignment God has given you- King David reminds me of this commitment. That even after being anointed for the first time as king, he returned to do his initial assignment as a shepherd until the appointed time came. Continue to faithfully doing your assignment, continue to dream, expand and fine tune what God has given you, don’t hold back and don’t quit. Serve God fully in your current position.

Pursue God and Serve God in your capacity in want and in abundance- Apostle Paul reminds me of this when he says I know how to abound in lack and in abundance. Bill Johnson teaches on this too. In one of his books Bill wrote, pray and seek God just as much when things are ok, just as you would pray and seek God when things are bad; this really changed my perception of God and for ministry. To stay consistent at all time

Activate and Increase praise, worship and thanksgiving during this period- There are times that “warring in prayer stops”, petitioning stops, decreeing and declaring stops, prophesying stops, but Ohh the power of praise, worship and thanksgiving. This is the position king Jehoshaphat took 2 Chronicles 20; 22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon. (Please read whole chapter 2Chronicles 20)

You are being matured and prepared for the promise-Biblical accounts of Joseph and David remind us of this. Would you agree that both Joseph and David served in various capacities in preparation for the higher positions? The waiting period then is likely a training and maturing period in preparation for your promise

Keep your focus on Jesus and not the issue-All battles belong to our Lord. Keeping our focus on Jesus is a form of surrender; telling the Lord we have submitted the issue to Him; trusting He will bring forth the deliverables!

Remember, there comes the fullness of time – In the fullness of time Isaac was born, in the fullness of time Jesus was born! Some delays are a result of God waiting for the appointed time, the right timing. At the appointed time, I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. “Genesis 18:14

In the fullness of time, at the appointed time, your answer is coming. Stay Consistent

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). Right now, it is easy to maintain goals and resolutions because it’s still early in the year, but as we venture deeper into the year, a time will come that we must stay focused, committed and on the course. no matter what comes your way this year STAY IN THE ZONE. Your Zone is God’s heaven. Seeing and reacting to everything according what heaven says about it! Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. HEAVEN IS OUR ZONE!

Purpose to set your mind on God’s promises concerning the situation because that is where we belong; we are co-heirs with Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father (Romans 8:17, Galatians 3:29). Whenever a contrary issue comes up, ask yourself, what does God say about this situation? What does Jesus teach about this situation? What are(is) the promise of God about this situation? What is the Holy Spirit instructing about this situation? What song or Psalm can I sing about this situation?

Keep your mind in the heavenly zone because it is in the mind that is the battlefield of war and where victory first starts (1Corinthians 15:57)

Stay in the heavenly zone because the heavenly zone is ETERNAL AND IMPERISHABLE, while the earthly zone is temporary and perishable
( 1Peter 1:23)

Stay in the heavenly zone because what is of the earth will be left behind and we cannot take it to heaven (I Peter 1:24, Matthew 6:19-21)

Stay in the heavenly zone because God rewards those who are faithful to Him (1 Samuel 26:23 (a), Lamentations 3:25, Psalm 18:25)

ZONE OUT IN HEAVEN this week. Stay in the zone with the Word of God, the promises of God, the Spirit of God. Let God’s heaven dictate your life on earth! Your will be done on earth as it is heaven.

As we reflect from the beginning of the year to this last week of 2016, I am sure voluminous blogs can be written of testimonies of the wondrous works of the Lord this year!

Salvation-We can attest to the Lord’s on time salvation, not only of the soul, but of the mind and body. We can testify of God’s grace keeping us sane in our right minds, where others could not handle what we had to face, but the Lord’s grace, mercy and peace sustained our minds to think clearly.

Deliverance- Oh Jesus, we can attest to God’s deliverance from traps and snares. Where once bound, we had lost ourselves, but God delivered us from the mucky mire, literally pulling us out by force, setting us free and bringing us to our full identity where we can finally say “I found me”. Among the profound deliverances that I experienced were; deliverance from “works”, deliverance from “busy and doing”; deliverance from false humility, deliverance from religious spirits and pretense, deliverance from false mindsets and unbelief. Can you testify to what God has delivered you from?

Protection- We attest to His divine protection, accidents were averted, the plots of the enemy were exposed and foiled in advance. The Lord then set a shield of protection and permanently shut dangerous doors permanently even when I fought to reopen. But then He open new safer doors and opened by eyes to see where He is guiding me to.

Restoration- He brought inner healing of past wounds and provided an ongoing antidote of His love. We came to know of the Father’s pure unadulterated love. The Lord restored by VOICE for worship; and anointed me with the OIL OF JOY and DANCE! Then He began restitution with latter and former rains. He restitution has been perpetual.

Community- He brought a new community of fellowship. In it we are free to be ourselves as we share in joy of our identities and destinies the Lord has for each of us. It continues to be a community that focuses on unity and support for one another and fosters each other’s growth and purpose of their destinies. In this community, I finally found my “tribe”.

Have we seen His wondrous works this year? Yes! Have you see the wonders of His Love? Yes! Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for His mercies endures forever. OH, COME LET US ADORE HIM

At times in the hustle and bustle of life, we get to a point that we need refills in order to keep going or to restart. Or a times it’s a matter of replenishing the with new strength, new direction, clarified vision, clear direction or new oil. In such times I think we should just be blunt with God, look up with our hands, hearts and mouths wide open and just pray; “Lord give me a drink!”

Jesus to the Samaritan woman in John 4:10 -Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

This Living Water, the Holy Spirit has a track record of rejuvenation, impartation and activation. If you recall, He is the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead. This same Spirit now lives in us and is very capable of resurrecting and renewing the tired areas of our lives including our bodies. Romans 8:11.

He is also the same Spirit that breaths into the Words we proclaim to birth new things and bring life, solutions, directions, insight to our lives. Hence He is called the Spirit of Wisdom, the Spirit of Counsel, the Spirit of Knowledge, The Spirit of Revelation, The Spirit of Discernment, The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord; Isaiah 11: 2. The Spirit of Power, the Spirit of Glory, the Spirit of Fire, the Spirit of Faith, The breathe of God, The Spirit of God.

Prior to meeting the Samaritan woman, Jesus had just performed His first miracle, turning six barrels of water to much needed wine at a wedding reception in despair.

It is in Christ that we can now enjoy both the rivers that never run dry and the new fresh wine of the Holy Spirit. As you wind down your holiday shopping, as you review you goals and set resolutions and objectives of the New Year; If currently in despair, If you are almost at the point of refill, let’s look up this week with our, hands, hearts, minds and mouth open and pray; “Lord, give me a drink!”

Psalm 36.8, Luke 5:37-39, Isaiah 41:10

But when He (Holy Spirit), the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what He hears from God our Father, and He will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13

We are living in an age where many are seeking for answers and solutions to life issues. To some, it is just a quest for spirituality, a sense of belonging and quest for a fulfilled destiny. Some still question what their destinies are. There seems to be an increased hunger to quench multiple voids.

Because of these many have resorted to any means that would provide them answers. Most have tapped into astrology, psychic operations, alternative religions or blend of multiple faiths. More disturbing though is the increasing number of believers who have resorted to prophetic gifts as their own source of direction; turning it to what I term “prophetic psychics”.

The problem of relying on a person for direction is that it opens one to deception, exploitation and hurt especially if the source of that person’s information is not God. Second, it leads to Idolatry because the person or thing replaces God as the sole source for everything.

Christians are however blessed to have the assigned Helper; the Holy Spirit. The beauty of this is that the Holy Spirit only leads you the truth concerning the past, the present and the future. Secondly, what the Holy Spirit tells you will never contradict the Word of God or the destiny God has for you because the Holy Spirit hears directly from God then disseminates to you. The issue though is that most Christians do not want to foster the relationship with the Holy Spirit.

This week, purpose to foster a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Start by asking “Holy Spirit Come”. Welcome the Holy Spirit to lead your prayers, to guide your day, ask Him questions, ask Him to show you things about your marriage, children or family. Ask him for ideas about job, work project or business; when and where to relocate to, ask the Holy Spirit to join your board & business meetings, invite Him in your thought process and emotions, talk to Him openly, tell the Holy Spirit everything. Press in to pray more in tongues (prayer language) if you have this gift. He, The Holy Spirit will guide you in all truth.
