DO NOT DRAG THEM WITH YOU

I get excited over most things and often in my excitement, I am quick to share the experience. This was a habit six years ago; I used to share quite a lot with people I thought were open to my insights until I learned the hard way that they were least interested. Well, I have been discovering some interesting stuff lately and I have been tempted to share the information until I heard in my spirit, “do not share that now, don’t drag them with you.”

You see each person is at different stage of being processed by God, so we cannot assume that everyone is where we are, and they should get what we have. Everyone is in some form of process in their walk with God. Instead, we should celebrate and encourage each other in whatever stage we are in our spiritual walk and in life.  To include someone in your process will only lead to frustration on your part but it may lead discord. It also borders on control. On the other hand, not everyone will want to join or share your journey; it will be like pulling a sack uphill, that can be tiring. There are lessons God will want you to keep secret and there are experiences God will want you to endure alone. I bet God does this to test us, to develop our character and to wait until the information is well formed in us to be delivered at the appropriate time.

In this season if friends do not respond when relationships end; that’s fine. Take courage. Not everyone is supposed to journey with you to your promise land. Abraham had to separate from Lot, see Genesis 13: 5-18. This story is critical because it shows a separation of two people who were very close to one another.

The journey to the promise land may require separating from close friends, things and environments that you were used to. It okay to journey alone because God will never leave you. Remember also, that each person is in process that is quite unique to yours. Just enjoy your journey, if God meant for them to be where you are, they will, but don’t force them or pull them uphill. You will hurt yourself. Don’t drag past experiences either, behold God is doing a new thing in this season, Isaiah 43:19.

GOD WANTS YOU TO SUCCEED

Often when met with life’s challenges or obstacles, we may conclude that God is orchestrating our demise. This is far from the truth. The truth is that God has an outstanding plan for each of us. He devised this plan way in advance before we were born. Psalm 139 :16 says that God has book in which He outlined everything about you!

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed (Psalm 139:16). Hey, you have a manufacturer’s manual- God has already outlined everything about your life in this book. I believe among the prayers we should be praying is “Lord cause me to walk in the plans you have outlined in my book”. We should also pray daily for the Holy Spirit to help us align and execute what God has for us in that manual!

Above all though, God wants us to succeed in life. That is why He says in Jeremiah 29:11 that the plans He has for us are not to harm us, but to give us hope and future. Furthermore; God says that He will guide us with His eye upon us(Psalm 32:8). I also love that fact that our steps are ordered by God; and that God delights in the steps (goals, ambitions, dreams, visions) of a good person (Psalm 37: 23).

So, think about it, would God design a plan for you to frustrate you and make you miserable? Would God outline a plan that results in failure? No way Jose (pronounce Jose in Spanish). No way! In verse 24 of Psalm 37, the Bible says that “though you fall, you shall not be utterly cast down because the Lord will uphold you with His hand”. 1 Samuel 2:9 says the Lord guards the steps of His faithful ones. Psalm 66:9 says the Lord preserves our lives and keeps our feet from slipping.

As you write and plan your goals for 2019, do this confidently before the Lord (Hebrews 4:16). Commit your ways to the Lord and He will establish. Step out in action and execute your goals with courageous faith.  If you feel you have missed the mark; no worries there is fix for this too; Psalm 103:10-13 says God does not deal with us according to our sins nor does He reward us according to our iniquities. Instead God completely removes our iniquities and He pities us as a father would do. Out of His mercies, God will still uphold you and redirect you to the path of the original plan He had for you.  So, don’t feel left out. Make 2019 different. God ALWAYS wants you to succeed. God rejoices over us with singing- He rejoices over your success too. God is for you! Romans 8:31-39

GOD DOES MORE WHEN WE ARE FLEXIBLE

GOD DOES MORE WHEN WE ARE FLEXIBLE- A few weeks ago I was on the treadmill afterhours thinking of the forecasted busy schedule that I was ahead of me in the first half of the year. I realized that in order to be effective and accomplish all goals successfully, I needed to adjust some things including routines. It was at that moment that a Thought came and said, “you can do more if you are flexible”. Then the next Thought said “God does more with you when you are flexible”. Praise God for the Holy Spirit. God talks to each of us uniquely. One of the ways the Holy Spirit speaks to me is through my thought process. God speaks at all times; on this day He spoke to me while on the treadmill; the topic for this blog was birthed!
So the whole evening I reflected on “Flexibility” in by relationship with God. Then I was reminded of Abraham and Noah, who were given the vision of what God wanted, and they remained flexible and just followed what God directed them to do. Both Abraham and Noah reaped more and to date we are enjoying their fruits of flexibility. Through Jesus Christ we are now partakers of the Abrahamic inheritance. By sign of the rainbow which was given to Noah, God affirms every time we see the rainbow that He will no longer wipe out the earth with heavy floods; the fruits of flexibility.

Flexibility is an attitude of total surrender, when we submit to God as our potter, to conform and shape us into what He wants us to be. Once conformable, God in turn uses various ways including tests, adversity, chastening and blessings to mold us into His image. So do not be quick to want to cop-out of an adversity or test because it could be that God is using that situation to bold and shape you. Instead, remain open and flexible. Let His hands work on you, that you may be shaped and molded to a usable vessel.

I realized that flexibility and obedience are key to increase in the knowledge and fullness of God. I also think flexibility is a test; where God commands that e change our routines, can ne change right away and follow His direction, or will we remain stuck in our ways.

God is the potter and we are the clay, Isaiah 64.8. Recall, clay is flexible. In fact, its consistency has some viscosity that makes in pliable, conformable and shapeable to whatever thing the Potter wants. The final outcome is normally something beautiful; often a vessel to contain something or a decorative décor. This is our God. Repent, renounce and let go of the rigidity. Embrace the freedom in Christ. Our walk as Christians is no longer by works, or our own. Our walk rather is by faith, and by the Holy Spirit. This week purpose to be flexible and expect to receive more from God. Be encouraged, God is Faithful and Dependable.

PICK IT UP AGAIN- SECURING OUR INHERITANCE

I received this message in March when studying the book of Jeremiah The subject of the study had to do with revisiting or redoing what God had instructed. What caught my attention to God’s instructions to Jeremiah was the pain stacking effort to redo what He had originally done In Jeremiah 36; God gave Jeremiah special instructions that need to be written and presented to king. Jeremiah needed writer, Baruch to do write since he Jeremiah was in hiding. You should note that in those days, writing was not easy, there were laptops or recording devices. Writing involved dipping a pen in ink and writing one word at a time, so the process was long and tedious. Despite this, Jeremiah and Baruch completed the task and the message was read the to king, who in response burned each page parchment. God nonetheless instructed Jeremiah to rewrite the instructions; they had to redo the pain stacking process.

Isaac the son of Abraham was another one who stayed persistent with what He knew belonged to Him. In Genesis 26, we see Isaac digging the wells, despite opposition until the enemy could no longer fight over the last one which He named Rehoboth

My encouragement to you this week is never get discouraged when the devil destroys or frustrates what God has told you to do on first attempt- you do it again Pick it up again! There are two aspects of these two stories that I would like to encourage you with. The first one is Jeremiah’s – If you have anything you had put aside that you are sure God had told you, pick it up again. This quarantine time is a good time to revisit and refresh your plans about it. This is the best time to pray or fast and petition the issue to God. It is the best time to ask God for strategies and blueprints for that vision. It is the best time to research and reinvent yourself in a new way. Consider reviewing the prior instructions God has given you, see what needs adjusting and what need implement. You may start small, but then keep at it, just pick it up again. Do not allow that idea to lay dormant

The second example is Isaac’s Isaac new his inheritance – He knew what belonged to him, wells that and be covered by the enemy, that remained dormant, but active. Genesis 26: 17-18 says that Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar, where he settled. Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them. Verses 19-25 shows that though the wells had been dormant, once dug, they produced fresh water

I want to encourage you that you have a spiritual inheritance and a generation inheritance that is in your bloodline. Your inheritance is in your personal opportunities and untapped generational inheritance.

Personal Opportunities: -One of the ways God uses to advance is by giving you an idea or an instruction. Ephesians 1:3-4 says that we are already blessed with spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus. It says Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. 2 Peter 1: 3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know   him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

As I reflected on this issue, I questioned myself as how may, ideas and instructions God had given me and I laid them down out of frustration, intimidation, fear or lack, discouragement, betrayal, disappointment, passivity, laziness, or procrastination. Let us repent of this negligence and pick up from where we left. So we already have spiritual inheritance and our role is to tap into that, acclaim, and possess them. I believe spiritual inheritance call be classified into, our new identity, (who we are and whose we are,  our position in Christ, our authority and power, the tools we have to execute God’s kingdom on earth, the word of God/promises, our eternal promise. Most of this comes through intimacy with God, and communing with God, seeking wisdom, and understanding of our inheritance and how to fully walk in them. Also by faith, boldness, and persistence, these blessings can and must be accessed with an overcomer’s attitude- Faith in God- Led by the Spirit- Persistent determination.

Untapped Generational Treasures- You have generational blessings waiting for you to dig up! Pick them up! This have to do with positive family traits and blessings that belong to you. Since most skills and gifts are passed on from parents and from genealogies, I questioned what my paternal and maternal ancestors laid down. I also questioned what my parents did not pursue. Those things are still there where they were left and we need to reclaim them, pick them up and work on the them. We need to do it again- this time leaning on the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God to guide us. Whatever treasure, idea, instruction, skill, opportunity that was meant to advance us, these are our inheritance we need to pick them up again

It is often good to probe to find out about more about your family and what rightfully belongs to you. Isaac knew what belonged to him and took it upon himself to go after it. There is inheritance in your bloodline that you can still tap into, and maybe they are laying down somewhere waiting to be discovered. This may involve probing- the goal is to maximize on what your bloodline left unfinished. You could learn that your parents wanted to do something-but they could not finish because of one things or another. May be you are the one to pick up from where they left and improve on what they had. If you parents had certain skills, it is most likely that you have those skills in you given your DNA- they are your heritage.

This may sound farfetched, but just probing your curiosity a little – are there blessings in your family, skills, talents, opportunities that were not maximized that are waiting for you to? Normally we get excited at this Scripture – Proverbs 13:22-A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous. What if an unjust cause, led to the dormancy of this inheritance? – do you know that you can stand in the gap of your bloodline and petition the justice of God to release it to you.

There are a few lessons and Scriptures that I would like to end with in relations to picking up our inheritance

Lessons

  • It may be pain stacking like with Jeremiah having to rewrite the scroll, keep pursuing it
  • You may face opposition like Nehemiah did while building the wall- but arm yourself and still pursue your inheritance
  • The enemy may have suppressed the inheritance like with Isaac, but know that whatever is yours is still fresh and active, just waiting for you to rediscover it
  • Another advantage of knowing your inheritance is that it helps you pray strategically, both offensively and defensive to release your inheritance

 Scriptures

  • Exodus 20:5-6 The Lord pushes the wicked up to the 4th generation, but shows love up to a thousand generations- you have pending blessings that you need to claim for you and for your future generations
  • Joshua 1:9 -Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”- pursue your inheritance with boldness and determination
  • Genesis 26: 24-24 That night the Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham- God will be with you as long as you depend on Him to guide and direct you .

This is the season and NOW is the time to obtain and possess what belongs to you. You are in your promise land. Isaiah 60:1, Isaiah 52:1-2- Awake, Arise, put on your splendor which is strength, the Lord has risen upon you, the glory is upon you, free yourself from all captivity, fear, and apathy, Go after your inheritance!

YOU CAN HEAR GOD- Hearing God Series Part 1

Many believers think that the ability to hear God is a gift for more spiritual people or those called to the five-fold ministry; but each believer is can hear God effectively. This blog is a transcript of the Facebook Video Blog dated April 22nd, 2020. Feel to print this transcript for reference.

The goals of this blog are to activate your spiritual senses and help you recognize the ways God has been speaking to you. In this article I will discuss how to “clear your senses” to hear God and highlight how God communicates. In the next article, I will discuss the subject in detail. So let us start with the basics.

Each believer can inherently hear God because; (1) we are created in God’s image according to Genesis 1:26-27 which says, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. As God’s creation, we look like Him and have the ability to talk and to hear Him in return. (2) God is our Father, just as in the natural a father relates to his child, we too have the ability to know when our Father is talking and to distinguish His voice from a stranger. (3) God shows no partiality according to Romans 2:11. This means that hearing God is not limited or set apart for special people; but each believer can equally hear God.

I sense strongly that the benefits of this quarantine are to get us back to fellowship and communion with God on an individual basis. God is relational and so is His communication. When we seek God, we should expect a response; but to know His response we must have our senses tuned to hear Him. The way God speaks varies from one person to another. Thus it is important that we do not rely on others to hear God for us but rather learn and be comfortable with hearing God for ourselves.

It is also important that we learn to hear God for ourselves because God may switch how He communicates to us from season to season. At times this is because He wants to advance us by teaching us His ways; and times the switch is because we can no longer hear Him through the original mode of communication (there various factors that cause this). Therefore, we need discern when He has switched His mode of communication and discern quickly how He is speaking to use.

Our Lord Jesus Christ placed a lot of emphasis on having “eyes to see and ears to hear” in the gospels and in the book of Revelation (see His directives to churches). So it is important that we really ascertain how God be it verbal and non-verbal. To get better at hearing God, first identify how God talks to you and continue to develop that channel of communication. Every gift is an introduction for more. So if you hear God once you can hear Hi more frequently, if you are a hairdresser you have the potential of owning and franchising a wholesale beauty store! A gift, spiritual or natural a potential has to be explored further. We are responsible for developing what God has given us. So let us review how to clear our senses or how to position ourselves to hear God:

  1. Communicate to God-As shared earlier, we have a relational Father. God wants to partner with us in our daily affairs. A relationship requires dual communication with feedback being reciprocated. Whereas it is true that God can speak to us unsolicited like when He approached Gideon, or when Jesus got Paul’s attention on the road to Damascus, often God will respond when we engage in communication with Him. We can initiate these types of communication through prayer, worship, praise, dance, reading the Bible and even when meditating. Expect to hear from God whenever you engage in these.
  2. Foster relationship with the Holy Spirit– The Holy Spirit is the breath and the voice of God. Among the functions of the Holy Spirit is are to teach, counsel, guide, advocate and intercede (see John 14: 15-17; John 16: 7-8; John 15:26-26 and Romans 8:26,) All of these are oratory in nature. As you develop friendship with the Holy Spirit, you will get to know His voice and His ways, this will result in also knowing the distinct voice of the Holy Spirit from the deceptive voice of the enemy. Friendship with the Holy Spirit is like friendship with a close friend or child whose voice you can recognize in a crowd because of its uniqueness.
  3. Obey the promptings of the Holy Spirit –Doing what God asks builds our relationship. Immediate obedience shows that we can be entrusted with more. The more we follow the instructions we are given; the more information God will provide; God will talk to us more when we listen to Him. Most of the time God will start with simple instructions related to your daily life, like “move your car”, “call your sister”, “close the door” and with time He will tell you more complex information. Do your best to obey these simple instructions even when they do not make sense.
  4. Guard what God tells you by releasing ONLY what He wants released at the right time and to the right people. There is danger in sharing revelation to everyone. Most of the time God provides the information for you for immediate application. If you sense God wants the revelation shared, ask Him to tell you the people group and the best time to release the information. There is also danger in sharing revelation in the wrong environment or prematurely. Under such conditions, the revelation will not be received, and one may just be a sounding gong- there will be no impact of the information shared. Below are some guidelines to consider if you have to share information God has given you:
    • Write the information down and ask God for interpretation or direction about it
    • Ask the Holy Spirit if the information is for you or someone else
    • If it is for someone, ask the Holy Spirit what to share and when to share it.
    • Ask God to prepare the heart of person the information should be release to.
    • Always release the information in love, in non- judgmental way; and be sure that you leave the person edified, comforted, and encouraged.
    • For intercessors, most of the revelation are often given as a strategy for prayer simply to pray for.
  • Should you feel that the leadership of your Church or anyone in authority should receive the information, then identify the protocol that is in place for sharing. If there is no protocol, consider the following:
    • Write the information and ask to meet with the leadership or person(s) of authority
    • Share the information in an objective way
    • Leave it up to the leadership or person in authority to judge and follow through with the information you shared.
    • Remember that you are not to impose the information; once you have delivered the message, your role ends. The information may not be received well; but be encouraged that you have done your part and leave it at that unless the Holy Spirit gives you more instructions.
  • Do not leave a church or fellowship, and or do not end a relationship because the recipient ignored the information you shared unless God directs you to.
  • Finally, note that God loves to share His secrets with us, so not all revelation is for disclosure. We draw unnecessary attacks from others or spiritual attacks when revelation that should private is shared. God can direct you to hold off sharing some insights until an appointment time or He may direct you never to share anything. As good stewards, we are capable of keeping His secrets!

6. Do not contaminate your senses-Our senses are highways of communication that allow us to engage with the frequencies of heaven. If the highways are jammed or polluted, we may receive minimal information, blurred information, or no information at all. All physical and spiritual senses must be free of contamination and obstruction. To start, we are spiritual beings who engage spirit with the Holy Spirit.

    1. So first we must ensure that our spirit is not contaminated with unforgiveness, bitterness, trauma, hatred, or any sin. We decontaminate these by repentance through the blood of Jesus and by feeding the spirit with the word of God. Praying in tongues also edifies the spirit.
    2. By submitting to the Holy Spirit and not the flesh. Galatians 5:13-26 outlines live in the Spirit. Whatever is not of the Spirit of God, contaminates. It is imperative then that keep all channels of communication clutter free. For example if God chooses to give us visions, our eyesight must be clear, that goes for ears to avoid, gossip or slander, for the mouth to avoid criticism, cursing or judging.
    3. By guarding our Hearts and Mouths– Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). Protect the heart by what you feed it with. Feed the heart with righteousness and righteousness will come out of the mouth. Feed it with junk, and filth will be projected from the mouth. The eyes of understanding is the heart not the physical mind. Life and death are in power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Prophesy is about hearing God and communicating what God said. Blessings and curses cannot flow from one mouth, gospel, slander, criticism, and judgments cannot be passed from one mouth the tool being used to communicate must be clean.
  1. Avoid Distractions– Distractions are the biggest hindrances to hearing God in this day and age. With advanced technology where most information is at our fingertips, we can easily be swayed to listen to other sources than God. Well, we now have social media and various platforms that we can obtain information from. Whereas the information being shared may not be bad, but it is critical that we obtain revelation and information from God directly. It is more important though that God becomes our first source of information. This requires that we make time to hear from God. At times God visits and we miss Him because we are distracted by other things or people. It is like longing for company, but not availing yourself when the guest comes. Be sensitive to those silent nudges to avoid certain people, to slow down or toe shut off your computer or phones. Be sensitive to God’s presence; when God is around you will know or sense Him! Why? Because you are created in His nature! God responds when we give Him attention- and my I add that God wants our whole attention.
  2. Rest– I have come to discover that God speaks more when we are at rest. My definition of rest is different; I believe we come to rest when we cast all cares to Him; when we entrust God with everything; when we trust Him despite the negative experiences; we are guided and guarded by His peace ; that is when He speaks the most. My other definition of rest is when we cease from our works, take time off to physically, emotionally, and spiritually rest. In the busyness of life or ministry we can miss God! Take time to rest, we each need a sabbath on a daily basis.

My objective this week was to encourage you that God can speak to you and He probably has been. God wants to communicate with you regularly, and you can hear Him well. Next time I will elaborate on the modes of communication- God speaks to us through physical and spiritual senses, i.e. Ears, eyes, mouth, nose, touch(skin), sense of smell and emotions, through an inner voice or instinct, through our imaginations and thoughts, through creative ideas, numbers and colors, through dreams , visions, trances and third heaven encounters; God speaks metaphorically through dreams and visions, these require accurate interpretation, through others  by using words of knowledge, words of wisdom or prophesy. Through pastors and ministers, through songs, arts, and His creation; and through numbers.

However, the number way God speaks to us is through His Word, the Bible. Based on the list-in the previous paragraph can you identify the way God speaks to you? Is there something God told you and your thought it was just your mind and later it happened just the way God had told you? Reflect now on occasions that you felt God wa speaking- Go back and write the instructions down. Next week I will teach in depth about each mode of communication.

Hearing God and acting on what you hear is Walking with the Spirit- It is walking with God, Enoch walked with God, Abraham Walked with God, Noah walked with God. When we act on what God has told us-it is walking in Faith. This pleases the Lord. God then starts sharing more with us.

Now feel free to say the prayer below; I have an impartation prayer at the of it as well.

PRAYER

Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you for this day, for the gift of life. I thank you for creating me in Your image and for the conversations You are inviting me to have with You. Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for the Blood that You shed for my sins, the Blood that cleanses and purifies. Holy Spirit, I thank You for being my helper, teacher, intercessor, and spokesperson. Father God forgive me, I repent for grieving the Holy Spirit, for not paying attention to You and ignoring You when You speak or visit. I repent of every distraction and contamination I have allowed to my senses. Father God, I thank you for forgiving me and I receive Your forgiveness in Jesus Name.

Now I appropriate the Blood of Jesus to cleanse my senses. I decontaminate my senses by the Blood of Jesus. I renounce and reject anything that is blocking my hearing, I break all legal rights, I command anything blocking my hearing out in the Name of Jesus. I declare that all my senses are clear and receptive. I declare that I am Your child Lord and I know Your voice according to John 10:27 and John 10:5  (My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.)

Lord Jesus You said that I should ask, and it shall be given according to Matthew 7:7-11. – I ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Your anointing, and Your Fire. Lord I ask that my senses be activated to hear you again. I command my minds, thoughts, imaginations, eyes, ears, mouth, spirit, heart, nose, emotions be opened the voice of God. Be opened to the Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus. Lord I am open to hear and to receive from You. In Jesus Name

Father in the Name of Jesus, I pray for whoever is reading this article right now. I pray for eyes of their understanding to be opened. I pray that as they read Your Word, grant them revelation and insight of Your Word. I pray for wisdom, knowledge, interpretation, and application of what you have told them in the Name of Jesus. I pray for wisdom to release the information at the right time and to the right people in Jesus Name. Lord I bless the reader in Jesus Name, Amen

WEAPONS OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Every believer can effectively engage in spiritual warfare; the life we now live in is Christ who lives in us. In Him we live, move and have His move.  With Jesus Christ in us, we have the DNA of Christ, that means we have His attributes including His authority and power. As co-heirs with Christ we have the upper hand to engage in spiritual warfare, fighting FROM a place of victory not for victory.

Below are weapons of warfare that we have to successfully engage in spiritual warfare. Details of list provided are in the newly released book for declarations and prayers for spiritual warfare title “Victorious Overcomer”. Get a copy from the store; www.paulineadongo.com. The weapons are:

  1. Your Identity in Christ- know who you are, what you have and whose you belong
  2. The Trinity- You have God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit on routing for you
  3. The Name of Jesus, The Blood of Jesus and our testimonies
  4. The Word of God
  5. The Fire of God
  6. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit; words of wisdom, words of knowledge, discernment of spirits, prophesy, seer gifts, and praying in tongues
  7. The Holy Communion
  8. The Angelic Support
  9. The weapons listed in Ephesians 6:10-18
  10. The already granted authority and power
  11. Walking in purity and holiness; our character and attitudes
  12. The foundations of love, forgiving one another and repentance
  13. Friendship and communion with the Holy Spirit
  14. Unity in prayer and walking in the fruit of the Spirit
  15. Prayer and fasting
  16. Declarations of Scripture
  17. Praise, thanksgiving and worship

Spiritual warfare is often associated with the weapons in Ephesians 6, but you see from the list there are more weapons that can be used. Like in the natural, wars may vary, that means the weapons and approach to engage in warfare may also vary. This list provides you multiple weapons to use. Before you engage, ask the Holy Spirit to show you the source or root of the warfare and how to effectively engage. For more on this topic, please get the new book’ Victorious Overcomer”

LET HOPE ARISE

My heart goes out those who are ill and or have lost loved ones due to corona virus. We continue to pray, and I know that God has already given us the breakthrough. We declare healing and restoration in all nations.

This crisis has affected many; but I would like to encourage all to HOPE IN GOD. Adversities bring the best and worst of us. Adversity also helps build our resilience; we also learn from them. For many who may questioning why and when, please be assured that

  • God has not changed His position about us, He is still merciful to forgive, heal and restore. As the Alpha and Omega, God saw the beginning of this crisis and He saw its end too before it started. We can hasten its end though through prayers of humility, repentance and recommitment to Him; but assured that our God sees all, and He sets boundaries on things!
  • Let’s not judge, criticize or blame others for this crisis- Let LOVE be the lens we use to respond to this crisis and to related with one another, LOVE Instead Additionally let us use this time for self-examination; are we in right standing with God? Is there something in us that we need to address with God. I believe this crisis has stirred a wake-up call for believers and the church worldwide. Lamentations 3:40-let us examine our ways and test them and let us return to the Lord.
  • Take the shield of faith– In Ephesians 6, the shield of faith is what deters the darts of darkness and oh how we need that now. The reports on the crisis are discouraging; but let us believe the report of the Lord. God never changes, He is still protecting, preserving, healing and saving. Put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation (1 Thessalonians 5:8) Refuse to be led and fed by fear. The world needs the church now, so the church cannot be afraid, each believer is the church (fyi- fear is faith in the wrong god) It is time to walk by faith towards God and love towards one another
  • Watch our Words- Words are creative and they create both good and bad. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Believers are prophetic by nature, what we say matters. In a crisis that is marked with death, let be mindful of our words and actions, let us speak life and light into the darkness. The same Spirit that raised Jesus out of grave is alive and active in us; the Word of God is alive and active; Angels of God are active let’s give them some work to do by the declarations of life we should be making!
  •  Do not allow this virus crisis to distract you from your vision or goals– I think this is most critical takeaway in any crisis. Never allow a crisis or any challenge to distract you from your goals. You may not accomplish your goals to the extent you wanted to but consider using this time to re-evaluate your objectives; and identity small objectives that you can do while you wait for things to clear up. The objective can be as a small as reading book you bought 2 years ago. I believe that God will still hold us accountable for what He gave us, and we cannot use a crisis as an excuse to relax. So, find that little thing you can invest in. Do your best to keep the momentum!

Lastly, stay prayed up! Increase your prayer time and devotion this year. Pray as a family since most families together right now. LET HOPE ARISE! This morning, I was encouraged by Lamentations 3:25-26. The Lord is good to those who wait for Him to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. LET HOPE ARISE!

#DONOTFREAKOUT-Spiritual Warfare Dreams

God still speaks to all people, believers in Christ and non-believer alike. Dreams and trances are some of the means God uses to communicate to us. When God communicates through dreams is often to give instructions, to provide counsel or direction on a matter, to clarify matter or to warn us about impending danger.

Should you notice that you are dreaming about evil, demonic attacks or witchcraft activity, do not freak out. It is highly likely that God is showing you what is happening so that you can act on it. Remember also God will not show you something without having equipped you for what He is showing you.

Each believer has been endowed with authority and power, crowned with honor and glory. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you and is active. You have the Word of God which is sharper than a two-edged sword that is available for use. When such dreams occur, raise up in faith, renounce them, bind them (binding means forbid or restrict them from working). Cancel the effects or assignments of what you saw in the dream by the blood of Jesus and in the Name of Jesus, cast the demons associated with what you saw in the dream out , then declare a promise from the Bible that is related to what you saw in the dream. Continue declaring the promise over you. By making the declarations you are “loosing” the blessings over you. Hence the promise, Bind and Loose; Matthew 18:18. Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (NKJV)

Some of the dreams could be exposure of hidden things or generational issues that need to be addressed. Such dreams are often repeated. Follow the same process in the previous paragraph to tackle them. You may also seek additional help from believers, pastors or ministers to pray with you.

But don’t freak out- You are likely being shown stuff that you are qualified to overcome!

MISSION UPDATE TESTIMONIES FROM CALIFORNIA

There were countless testimonies in California during the seven days that I ministered there. Among the highlights were:

  • Immediate activation of the gifts of the Spirit, mostly words of knowledge, wisdom and largely the seer gift. I have never experienced most of the church activated in such large numbers. Both the young and the old were activated. To see brethren, step into their giftings immediately made ministering and prayer so effective. Through the gifts, we could pray strategically and accurately.
  • Part of the equipping included corporate declarations and prayers of deliverance, especially in spiritual warfare. It was amazing to see mass deliverance; brethren getting breakthroughs and experiencing deliverance immediately. Many were freed and physically healed as they said the declarations. The Pastor had to decrease the time that was allotted for testimonies because per the Pastor, “the whole church would have testified!”
  •  In California, I witnessed God deliver twenty-one (21) members of the same family who were previously dedicated to satan. The testimony from the matriarch of the family who is approximately 80 years old was, “I now know how to fight the devil, I will not be afraid of satan anymore, I now have the tools to fight effectively”. There was a second family of ten that also got delivered from the occult. In this family, a young man renounced his lifestyle, dedicated his life to the Lord and kicked his then live-in male partner out within 24 hours. Glory to God!

THANK GOD FOR THE LITTLE PROGRESS

As humans, we often want to see immediate results to prayers we have petitioned. Well there are things that God will respond to immediately and there are things that God will take time responding to. There things that God responds to with grand outcomes and there are things that He responds to in increments – consider thanking God for the progressive results.

Have you been praying for something and the answer has not manifested yet? Maybe you a praying for a loved one, a son or daughter, your spouse, a co-worker or a situation in business, work or marriage. Although the full breakthrough has not yet manifested, take notice of the small positive things that are happening in the person or the situation. If you were expecting 1000 customers in your business today, thank God for the 50 who patronized you today. If the son or daughter is not going to church yet, thank God that they are back in school and no longer with the wrong friends. If you are working towards your personal goals, thank God for every small step you have successfully completed.

Next time before we start asking God for our needs; let’s thank Him the gradual results. Let’s thank Him for the little positive changes that we are seeing. Let’s praise Him. God abides in the praises of His people. He loves grateful hearts. Let’s not just keep asking- but let’s also thank Him in the midst of asking. Remember, God hears our prayers before we ask (1 John 5:14); He responds to the cries of His children (Isaiah 65:24).  Those who trust Him will never be put to shame (Psalm 69.6)

Gratefulness opens opportunities for more. God rewards a grateful heart. Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (I Thessalonians 5:18). Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever (Psalm 107:1).

Celebrate and thank God for the little progress.

TESTIMONIES FROM MEXICO

The Puerto Penasco mission was our last equipping conference as we wound up our mission to Mexico. As shared earlier, I truly witnessed God’s glory increase at a greater measure as well. Believers in these churches had great expectation for what God was going to do. The atmospheres were charged with God’s grace, mercy and love to heal and to set free. There atmospheric spiritual breakthrough that the Pastors attested to as they made declarations and broke curses.

In Puerto Penasco is where we experienced a lot of physical healings including healing of knee and neck pain. Tumors in the stomach disappearing, destinies called out and deliverance from demonic dedications. A lady whose knee had just be healed, broke out in a dance in high heels shoes! Another lady was healed from uterine discomfort- in fact the first day I prayed for her she said “ was so gloomy and depressed, I don’t know why I came here” But on the second day this sister who was in the Church’s dance ministry; danced endlessly after service .  The Pastors pointed her out to me, “that’s the lady from yesterday now dancing to the Lord”! Halleluyah, glory to God.

There was a great testimony of a young man who attended the conference in Puerto Penasco at the direction of the Holy Spirit. On the first night of the conference he got delivered from demonic oppression. On third day of the conference, which was a Sunday service, his eyes were corrected and restored, Halleluyah! Previously this brother had astigmatism. In addition, five people gave their lives to Christ and were filled with the Holy Spirit. Four teenagers were delivered from anger, the trauma of fatherlessness, depression and drug addiction. One of the teenagers kept joining us from one church to another following his deliverance. There were confirmations of callings, one of which was a nine-year-old boy- the Holy Spirit encountered him so strongly; he held his dad so tightly. all I could say was “more Lord, more”.

CONSISTENCY IN EVERYTHING PAYS OFF

While regrouping from a mission’s trip, I decided to revisit the goals and objectives of the previous years. I identified the goals that I achieved and the ones I needed to revisit. On the ones I still needed to work on; I decided to approach them differently; this time maintaining the same objectives but staying consistent with the small goals I set. Within two weeks of this approach, I noticed the difference!  There was great success in achieving the smaller goals!

I’m sure you have goals for 2020 as well. Consider breaking those goals into smaller measurable achievable objectives. Start taking smaller steps towards those goals- no matter how minuscule they may look, Stay consistent. Commit to the smaller interventions as you maintain the momentum towards the greater goal.  Commit the minor steps to God and watch God empower you with wisdom, knowledge and counsel towards the bigger goals. See Proverbs 16:3, James 1:5-6, Proverbs 2:3-6. Matthew 7:7

Trust God even in the simplest stuff -He who begun a good work in you will bring it to completion; Philippians 1:6

REEL BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PLACE OF PERSONAL COMMUNION

At times in pursuit of answers to life issues, we tend to seek everywhere looking for breakthrough. This often comes after long periods of waiting and pressing through. On the other hand, it can also be matter of desiring a quick fix. In this quest we can jump from church to church, prophet to prophet, seeking for a word from someone with hopes of receiving the breakthrough but there is a place we often neglect, and that’s a place of one on one with God. We can go looking for answers all over while forgetting that God is always there waiting for us to acknowledge Him and seek Him for what we need.

This a short blog to anyone out there who could be frustrated of seeking. Can you reconsider God, and return to original place you had with Him? Recall the days you spoke to Him daily, the days He visited you frequently, the days dreams, visions and instructions were common. The days prayer and reading the word were priorities in your life. The days you sang and worshipped God by yourself when no one was around.  Are you still seeking? Search no more, behold Jesus is right at your door, waiting for your open so that He can come and dine with you.

Jeremiah 33. 3 says, Call on Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not now. Revelation 3:20 says behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with Me.

Also, consider revisiting the original instructions God gave you regarding what you are seeking. The blueprint and more details are hidden in those instructions. Continue to seek Him in those. The short instruction is an invitation for more.

Purpose to get back to that original place- back to the beginning when you were ‘running through the fields with Him” – Be encouraged by this song by United Pursuit on You Tube. The title of the is   Let it Happen.
Blessings & Love in Christ Jesus,PaulinePsalm 32:8 – The Lord will instruct and teach you in the way you should go.He will counsel you with His eye on you
